Helloooooo December 31st. Hello New Year’s Eve. Is it really the last day of 2014 already? I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels like this year has absolutely flown by. It is actually a little bit ridiculous how quickly this year has gone. But it sure has been a great year and 2015 is going to be even bigger and better. I can feel it. In fact, to kick off the new year with a bang, tomorrow will be One Active Life’s first birthday!!
Yes, that’s right it’s almost been one whole year since the launch of One Active Life. And what a year it has been.
I want to take this opportunity to whole-heartedly thank every single person – friends, family, readers, followers, visitors, subscribers – for all the support over this past year. To every person who has read a blog, liked a photo, shared a post or just curiously checked out One Active Life, thank you! It really, truly means the world to me and I am so grateful for all the support.
One of the most amazing things is having someone personally thank me for a blog I have written. Over the past year I have had numerous people approach me and thank me for something I have shared. It truly humbles me and gives me such fulfillment to know my words have touched, even just one person. To know that my words and my experiences have resonated with a reader and helped them in some way, is all I need, to feel my purpose is done. It’s not always easy to publicly display some of my deepest insecurities and my ongoing battles. It can be pretty daunting. But when I get positive feedback it really does fill me with such joy and I know it is all worth it.
So with that being said, what better way to celebrate 2014 and 1 year of One Active Life, then by reminiscing back on some of our most popular blog posts from 2014.
Do What Makes You Happy. One of our most shared posts on Facebook this year, this blog touched many readers and was certainly the beginning of positive change in my life. Every one can benefit from the message in this article.
Mindfulness. Being present. Staying in the moment. It’s not always easily done but sometimes we just need to stop rushing, refocus and Just Slow Down. Perhaps 2015 is time for you to practice a little bit more mindfulness.
In true new years resolutions style, have you made the decision that next year you are going to transform your health? That 2015 is going to be the year that you become the fittest, healthiest version of you yet? Well, don’t be disheartened if it doesn’t happen overnight.
