We have all heard this saying. It’s undeniably true. We all have the same amount of time in each day. 24 hours to do with as we wish. Some people seem to manage those hours
a little a lot better than others.
So I am just going to say this:
There is always enough time to eat breakfast.
There is always enough time to exercise.
There is always enough time to call a friend.
There is always enough time to meet your deadline.
I’m the first to admit that I am a serial procrastinator and I have been known to waste away precious hours doing nothing. I’ve been working on improving this bad habit quite a bit over the past few months. In the past couple of weeks I have finally managed to get things under control. So this post is as much a reminder for myself as it is for everyone else.
There really is no reason to say you are ‘too busy’ or ‘don’t have enough time’. If you don’t want to do something, that’s okay, just say NO. That’s your perogative. The important thing to keep in mind is that you aren’t sacrificing what you really want longterm for something that seems like a good idea in the moment. Don’t disappoint your future self because of what your present self failed to organise. Planning, preparation and prioritising are key to good time management. Remember the 6 P’s:
Planning and Preparation Prevent Piss Poor Performance
I’m not sure if Beyonce knows this saying, but I’m pretty sure she would like it.
