Drink more water – 8 glasses a day! Heard it before? Yep, me too. Hundreds of times! But it really is some solid advice.
There are so many reasons to love water. Not only is it one hell of a way to quench your thirst and kill off serious cases of dehydration, it’s also great for digestion, heart health, concentration and energy levels.
Water also helps to improve your mood, clear your skin, boost your metabolism, reduce cravings, cleanse your insides and reduce headaches.
Wow! So many reasons to become besties with H2O.
One of my goals for 2014 is to drink more water! My aim is to drink 2-3 litres a day.
A little trick I have developed to keep tabs on how much I am drinking each day, is to always carry around a bottle of water with me. I have a 1.125L bottle which I only ever refill when I have completely emptied it. This way I know EXACTLY how much I have consumed.
I actually really love drinking water. The taste doesn’t bore me, but if it bores you, why not try adding some fruit, such as lemon or orange slices, mint, cucumber or watermelon for some extra flavour. Super refreshing!
